Always Adopt, a not-for-profit organization that brings together community leaders, dog adoption agencies and volunteers to host super-sized dog adoption events will hold their next Super Dog Adoption Day, Saturday, November 5 at Clark Farms, 2984 Commodore Highway, South Kingstown.
Utilizing their signature, online “common app,” Always Adopt has refined the dog adoption process allowing pre-approved adopters to have the “pick of the pups” at all their events.
“For the first time since the event’s inception a few years ago, we were in fear of running out of adoptable pups before the close of the event because so many adopters took advantage of the pre-approval process,” said Louise Anderson Nicolosi, founder of Always Adopt.
All adopters must be approved for adoption before they are permitted to walk away with a dog on the day of the event. The common app, available online at AlwaysAdopt.com, allows potential adopters to be screened and approved prior to the event. The event is open from 10 a.m. to noon to approved adopters who can choose their new family member prior to the admittance of the general public. Potential adopters may also begin the adoption process the day of the event by just stopping between noon and 4 p.m. and engaging with their selected dog’s adoption agency.
More than 2,000 dogs have been adopted via Always Adopt events since May 2013. Always Adopt partners with a number of qualified dog shelters and rescue agencies located in southern New England to match as many adoptable dogs and qualified adopters at their one-day super adoption events.
The Super Dog Adoption Day is free and open to the public with the exception of each agency’s adoption donation, which directly benefits the adopting agency. Always Adopt encourages prospective adopters to visit AlwaysAdopt.com to see all the dogs and puppies available for adoption and complete the adoption process if they desire to bring their newest family member home that day. Applicants are required to complete the common application found at www.AlwaysAdopt.com. Please read all the information provided on the website. Pre-approval does not guarantee adoption on the day of the event.
