David’s Greenwood Barber Shop

It may be a surprise for newcomers and old-timers alike of David’s Greenwood Barber Shop to learn that Dave Picozzi, its owner, has been cutting men’s hair for over thirty years. Yes, you heard that correctly, thirty uninterrupted years as of September of 2023. Talk about a legacy of longevity and a lesson in loyalty!

Let that number sit with you for a while. In fact, let that number sit with you while you relax in the swivel chair of barber Dave Picozzi and his son Geno. That is thirty years spent delivering personalized customer service, nurturing longstanding friendships, building a faithful clientele, and snipping, cutting & clipping hair! 

This is an extraordinary accomplishment on its own but is made even more remarkable in a world of increasing competition and times of hardship.  Chain salons.  Worldwide pandemics.  Economic highs and lows.  Changing hairstyles.  So many changes, yet David’s Greenwood Barber Shop remains true ~ not unchanged ~ but ever true to its high standards of quality workmanship and dedication to its customers.

Dave and Geno are grateful to their many customers ~ sons, brothers, fathers, grandfathers, and friends alike, some of whom have been taking a ride in that swivel chair for all 30 of the barber shop’s years.  

Many of these customers have become close friends ~ both in and out of the shop.  One of those “tried and true” customers/friends is Tim Silvia.  Some might recognize Tim’s name as a realtor with RI Real Estate Services.  Tim knows something about longevity as well, having been in the real estate industry for over 20 years.  He is a huge fan of David and Greenwood Barber Shop.  He has been coming to Dave for as long as he can remember.

As Tim says: “Dave just knows what I like: high, tight and clean.”  Every. Single. Time. Thanks for your loyalty, Tim!

This is what customers have come to expect of both Dave and Geno.  Consistency.  Dependability.  Professionalism.

After 30 years, there are some changes on the horizon for David’s Greenwood Barber Shop. Make note.  It is finally time for Dave to enjoy the “fruits of his labor.” If you are a customer of Dave’s, you will now only find him at his styling station in the morning during the salon’s regular hours. Still devoted to making you look great but scaling back a bit to a well-deserved reduced schedule.

 If you are a client of Geno’s, his full schedule remains the same! And remember, for both Dave and Geno, it is WALK-INS only!

David’s Greenwood Barber Shop is located at 2879 Post Road. Hours are Tuesday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturdays, from 8:00am to NOON. Remember, you will only find Dave here in the mornings! Men and boys (ten years and older) are welcome.
