The Don Rodrigues Karate Academy captured 47 trophies and awards at the 42nd Annual Ocean State Grand Nationals, recently held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, RI. With 36 states and 11 countries in attendance over the three-day event, the competition featured some of the best in the world of Sport Karate.
Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi was inducted into the Ocean State Nationals Hall of Fame at the Nighttime show, which will air on the CW Channel every Saturday morning in the month of May! Special thanks go out to sponsors and supporters – the City of Warwick, Ocean State Collision Center, Paul Mitchell Hair Products, Female Fighters Matter 2, Century Martial Arts, Tori Lynn Andreozzi Foundation and Asian World of Martial Arts.
With 25 competitors from the Don Rodrigues Karate Academy, they captured 11 First places, seven second places, nine third places, four fourth places, and 16 fifth places for a total of 47 trophies and awards.
