Though it is late in the season – and despite the vaccine’s limited effectiveness – health professionals continue to push for all Rhode Islanders to get the flu shot if they have yet to do so.
“The shot is a way to stimulate the immune system, like getting it ready for battle,” said Dr. Leonard Waice, who specializes in Family Medicine. “If you’re primed and ready, you can put 2,000 troops at the border and fight off the bug, but without it you are caught unaware … the flu can spread very easily, and without the shot and without treatment, you can be spreading the virus to co-workers, family and friends without even knowing it. You yourself can also get very sick.”
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 200,000 people in the United States are hospitalized each year due to flu-related complications, including pneumonia.

The flu vaccine is a hoax. If you read the side of the bottle it says there have been no trials to show that it actually works, it contains toxic preservatives. skip the flu shot and eat raw garlic daily.
