Heavy hitters turn out for McAllister

More than 100 turned out for a fundraiser in support of City Council President Steve McAllister last Wednesday at the Crowne Plaza hosted by House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi and Gov. Dan McKee. In brief comments Shekarchi and McKee spoke of cooperative efforts between the municipal, legislative and executive branches of government. McAllister spoke of the support the city has received from the legislature and the governor. He said Monday the evening raised $12,000 and donations are still coming in. (Warwick Beacon photos)
