Ingeborg “Inga” A. Cipolla, age 72, of Warwick, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Cipolla, who preceded her in 2013.

Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Johann Baptist and the late Anna Maria (Graf) Beil. After graduating high school in Germany, she moved to the United States, proudly becoming a U.S. citizen in 1985. Inga was an office manager, first for Darlene Jewelry and then for Dama Jewelry.

Inga was known for her extreme independence as well as her private nature. Her strong German roots made her family a priority; she never wavered in her commitment to them. She was known for standing her ground and you did what she said simply because “I am German.” She was always watching her favorite game shows and crocheting blankets for loved ones. She loved to travel, take cruises and had weekly trips to Narragansett beach.

She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Weyde and her fiancé, Joseph Carani and Michele Knapton and her husband, Tim. She was the beloved grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her adored daughter, Patricia Phillips.

Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 25 from 4-6 p.m. at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to American Lung Association of Rhode Island, 260 West Exchange Street, Suite 102B, Providence, RI 02903-3700 (www.lung.org) or the VNA of Care New England, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886.
