Joseph R. Fagan, Jr.


Joseph R. Fagan, Jr., age 66, of Rose Street, Warwick, died unexpectedly on December 30, 2012. He was the husband of Paula J. “Jackie” (Parmentier) Fagan.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Joseph R. and Diana E. (Parmentier) Fagan, he lived in Powder Springs, Georgia before moving to Warwick 14 years ago. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of Memorial Post # 272 Veterans of Foreign Wars in Warwick. Mr. Fagan was employed as a custodian at North Kingstown High School for 13 years, retiring 6 months ago. He was the # 1 fan of North Kingstown High School Athletics. He was also an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

Besides his wife; he is survived by a daughter, Jerri Rose Tassan and her husband, Christophe of Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother, Robert H. Fagan of Williamsburg, Virginia, a sister, Eleanor F. Luce of Warwick, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; and loving nieces and nephews.

His funeral service and burial in the Rhode Island Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter, will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the North Kingstown High School Athletic Department, 150 Fairway Drive, North Kingstown, RI 02852.
