John J. Kurowski, 80, a retired machinist for Leesona and General Dynamics Electric Boat Quonset. Passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Kent Hospital. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John F. and Gretta (Morris) Kurowski. John was the beloved brother of M. Burnadette “Chickie” Kurowski. He is also survived by many loving cousins in the U.S., Ireland and England. John enjoyed playing baseball and softball up until his forties, golfing, crossword puzzles and music from the 50’s and 60’s.
His visitation will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 9-10am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in St. Timothy Church, Warwick Avenue, Warwick. He will be laid to rest with his parents in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston.
