Congressman Jim Langevin will host a Town Hall meeting with constituents tonight at 6 at the Cranston Public Library. Prior to this public meeting, he will meet with the leadership team at Comprehensive Community Action Program (CCAP) and then visit a local business, Raffa Yoga, which is also the birthplace of the non-profit Metta Students Foundation.
At CCAP, Langevin plans to discuss challenges facing the agency and its clients, including cuts resulting from sequestration. Raffa owner Christine Raffa will later give the congressman a tour of her growing business and share with him the story behind Metta, an organization that rewards acts of kindness by high school students with scholarships.
The visits lead up to the first of two upcoming Town Hall meetings, the second planned for Aug. 29 at the Kingston Library at 6 p.m.
“The concerns of my constituents are always on my mind, and their feedback helps direct my work in Washington,” Langevin said in a statement. “I look forward to having a productive conversation about the issues facing our state and our country, from growing jobs and strengthening the economy to protecting Social Security and advocating for our students.”

Having been a participant of almost every laughable useless Langevin town hall meeting, tonight I decided to skip the meting and cook a fresh seafood dinner for my family. However, if I were to attend I planed on asking the following questions that I am sure would have been circumvented by his staff.
1. Congressman, with all of the public condemnation of hate speech in the last few weeks, and the brutal attacks of our president for not mentioning specific hate groups by name, why haven't we heard the RI delegation come out publicly and condemn the statements of Missouri democrat Senator Maria Chappelle who openly called for the assassination of President Trump. Do you characterize her statements as free speech, hate speech, antagonistic speech, or a criminal action? Please respond.
2. You were a strong advocate for Obama care. At your last town hall meeting in
Warwick. What is your position on Obama care now that the hired architect for the program, Jonathan Gruber has openly admitted lying to the public to push the bill forward?

3. Congressman, In 2009 you openly admitted to Rob Cote at Warwick City Hall town meeting that you personally never read the affordable health care act bill. Now that we have an admission from President Obama's lead architect of this plan that it was fraudulent, how can you continue to support it? See link

4. Congressman, since the November election, you have only criticized the President. During the Clinton era, you stated that the stock market gains were a result of the actions of the President. During the Obama era you stated that the losses of the stock market had nothing to do the office of the President. Since the November election, the market is at its all time historical high. How is your portfolio doing and to what do you attribute the gains?
