Barbara J. Mills, age 75, life-long resident of Warwick, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Irving B. Mills and Mary L. (Brent) Mills.

A beloved Bank Teller at Bank RI, Barbara was well known in the community for her kind manner and respect she shared to all that walked through the door, and her eagerness to work. She was an active member of the American Legion William Sheilds Post, playing in their cards group every Monday evening, and a member of the Elks Lodge.

Barbara made it a point to enjoy every moment of her life, she had a scarf for every occasion, and was always the person reminding others to wear certain colors in representation of the upcoming holiday. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time in Disney.

Her most treasured time, however, was with her family. She loved to surround herself with those that mattered most to her, especially her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Shane Mills; sister, Cindy Ward and her husband Fred; granddaughter, Kayla Lazzareschi and her spouse Mathieu; adored great-grandchildren, Laina and Milo; brother-in-law, John Holm; niece, Cheri Plante and her husband Chris; Nephew Brandon Ward and his husband David; and great-nephew, Nathan. She was the sister of the late Mary “Betty” McLaughlin.

Relatives and friends are invited to join her Funeral Service on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 11:00AM in the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick, followed by Committal Prayers and Burial in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visitation will be held in the Funeral Home on Sunday, from 4:00-7:00PM. For online condolences and tributes please visit: www.thequinnfuneralhome.com
