Melissa Cardillo, art teacher at Holliman Elementary School, was named the Rhode Island Art Education Association Elementary Art Educator of the Year and was honored with presentation of a certificate of recognition at the Warwick School Committee meeting on Tuesday night at Warwick Veterans Middle School. She is joined by Superintendent Philip Thornton, School Committee Chairwoman Karen Bachus, committee Treasurer Nathan Cornell and school committee members David Testa and Kyle Adams.
