Homewood Suites corporate officers were joined by Warwick City officials and representatives of the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce last Wednesday to celebrate the completion of months of renovations to the Homewood Suites, located at 33 International Way. The first Homewood Suite was founded in Nebraska in 1989 and is now owned as one of the Hilton Brands. There are approximately 450 locations in North America. Homewood Suites provides a “home away from home” atmosphere in its 82 apartment-style suites for extended stay and offers free breakfasts daily, along with nighttime socials Mondays through Thursdays, featuring light fare, along with beer, wine and soft drinks. Complimentary parking and an area shuttle traveling within a three-mile radius of the hotel during the week are among the amenities offered to guests. Mayor Joseph Solomon joined the lineup that included Ryan Giviens, manager, who also chairs the Gaspee Days Committee, to cut the ribbon before taking a tour that included a stop at the pool.
