Knights of Columbus Hall on Sandy Lane played host to approximately 30 veterans for a St. Patrick’s Day dinner. The veterans, who are residents at a veterans’ home in Bristol, were served a boiled meal to celebrate the holiday. The venue served veterans from different eras. Vietnam Air Force veterans and brothers Jerry and Bill Boucher were stationed in different places during the war, with Jerry in the U.S. and Bill in Germany (below). World War II veteran and centenarian James Robinson served in the Pacific Fleet, and recalled that during that time, all he was allowed to do because of discrimination was cook.
