Warwick never had "Neanderthal cops", but today we have a wealth of technology making our police force many times more effective than ever before. Todays police make the officers of 20 years ago look much less talented but they were never "bad".

The rest of your suggestion I agree with. I have always been in favor of a HIRING FREEZE (see The Corrente Plan). It would protect the present employees from competing for assignments with lesser costing rookies, and as others retire or resign, Warwick's payroll expense reduces. I would sincerely hope that whoever gets elected Mayor will have the same "No Political Kick-back Jobs" attitude that I have. Mayor Avedisian gave taxpayers the cost of way too many of those already.
