Warwick Fire Fighters U12 Chili Peppers enjoyed some March Madness of their own, winning the Wide World of Indoor Sports A division title.
Entering the tournament as the No. 7 seed, the Chili Peppers posted shutouts of Westerly and No. 2 FC Rams to reach the final against the No. 1 seed FC Bruno. The title game featured a 1-1 tie in regulation, a scoreless overtime, and a thrilling shootout with the Fire Fighters making all their penalty shots and goalie Kaitlyn Fitzgerald stopping one.
